Hey guys, im looking for some ideas or suggestions for firearms i might not have thought of.

What i want is a .22lr that has the ability to accept all sorts of different wierdo and wacky types of .22 rounds. Like shorts, those wierd shot rounds, subsonics etc etc. I know one rifle that does this well is the Henry series of lever action guns. But i was hoping to find something under $400 dollars, and right now i cant find a Henry anywhere in Canada under $400 bucks.

Any suggestions on other rifles that have a magazine of some kind that can meet this criteria? I know Chiappa little badger will shoot anything, but im after something with multi shot capability. Semi auto is basically off the table since low power rounds don't like to cycle.

Thanks guys!

Cooey model 60. Run about $150 at the gun shows.

Just an FYI, I tried CCI Quiet .22 through my Browning auto, after a tip on here from a fellow nutter. I got the occasional stovepipe jam, but generally 95-98% reliable functioning.

Any single shot will work. My Rossi 37 feeds everything except cb caps.
My savage mark 2 FV feeds cb shorts, cb longs, shorts, longs and long rifles all from the mags

My tube fed Marlin 981T bolt action has been problem free. Haven't tried the shot shells….don't see the point.

Awesome, thanks for the replies . Regarding the shot shells, yea i know they are useless hehe, i just happen to have a couple kicking around so figured i would add it to my original post. And thanks for the heads up on the Henry Large Loop, i hadnt even noticed that one.

Also ive always wanted a Savage so its good to know it will feed a lot of various ammo. Thanks all.

Basically any bolt / lever / pump with a tube mag should work. +1 on the Cooey Model 60, I have one and I've shot all of the above through it. Good little gun.

If you're after a plinker to digest all that stuff on a budget...then yes, the Cooey is hard to beat. Keep your chamber clean if a varied diet is going to be what the gun eats all the time.

For new~I'd consider a Marlin bolt action, look at the XT series.
