I have a S&W Victory model 5" barrel V prefix in serial #, 38s&w caliber revolver. My question is what would be a fair price to ask for this revolver.Just trying to find a good home for this old but accurate revolver, any input would be greatly appreciated thanks

A S&W Victory .38-200 was my very first handgun - I picked it up in "well used" condition for $60.00 in the early '70's. This taught me lots about bent ejector rods, sprung cranes, sloped out bolt stops etc.

Depending on the condition of your handgun I would say $100.00 in average condition and perhaps $200.00 in "as new" condition.

Anywhere between $250 and $350 depending upon condition, "quality" of the war finish and whether or not it has a confirmable 'history'. These V models are somewhat collectable but are not exactly rare in Canada.
I have seen them advertised for over $400, but I doubt the seller would get that.
