Lever action 1886 takedown rifles in 45-70 are the modern new production from Winchester/Browning/Moroku, Chiappa, Pedersoli etc built to original specs on the takedown mechanism? Can a person interchangeably install barrels- new production and old winchester production take down barrels that is.
I'd like to have a 45-70 and 33 WCF.

Interesting idea
I would hope the qc dept would be matching and refining the fit for individual rifles, whether old or new, but not assuming anything

The finicky part might be the shell stop/lifter if both cartridge’s have different lengths ie-2.50/2.80 for the .33wcf.
