Are different dies from different manufacturer are interchangable with different press from different manufacturer.

yes, if you are talking about modern dies, and not the real old ones.

the only one that you have to be careful of is the square deal from dillon, which uses propietory dies that i know of

Any press that uses 7/8-14 threads will take all standard dies. Lyman use to make dies and a press that didn't use 7/8-14. Much smaller, as I recall. Not made any more, but they surface at gun shows occasionally.

Lyman still has small dies available for their 310 reloading tool, in a limited number of rifle and pistol calibers.
