Hi, I had a couple questions:

1.) If I want to get a restricted license will I need to take both non-restricted and restricted test or restricted is fine and that will include non-restricted in it?

2.) If tried clicking on links to get info on where I can register for the license/test but it did not work. So any info on any forms I need to fill out, test places, course places would be great.

Thanks!

Any forms you have to fill out will be handled by your instructor. At the end of the course you'll be shown how to fill out the application and then it is up to you to get your photo taken, arrange references and send it in with fee.

And padawan is correct, you need to take both courses but often this is taught in the same weekend. There's no advantage to taking them separately.

Hi, great! I am located in ontario, gta area.

So the instructor will be the one teaching the course? How many people are usually in the course? Or is it one on one? And how long is it?

Thanks for the quick help guys! :)

Hi, thanks.

The list of instructors you gave me is this one-on-one or for full classes also?

I doubt you'll ever find a 1 on 1 instructor. Most of them will wait until they have a decent number like 10 people or so before posting a course.

Having classmates can be helpful as well. In my class, we rotated through working with different firearms/actions, and differnent classmates, and having different people to work with really enhanced the learning experience. You can learn something from anyone; you'll pick up some points they got and you missed.

:agree:

I took my course with Firearms Academy of Canada at the Days Inn near Wilson & Jane. Pretty good instructor. They had two classrooms of about 20 students each. Lots of hands-on exercises with various firearms and they take their time to ensure you are comfortable. I'd recommend these guys as well.

sweet thanks! I have contacted a few people just waiting on there response.

Btw just one last question thats say I did not take these courses is it possible for me to just send in an application and take a test straight?

Let me know thanks!

you can challange and just take the tests. Quite a few do it. I took the courses and believe i'm better for having done so.

Hi, thanks. Thing is i actually have taken the test in the states before moving to canada. Much easier down there with everything pretty confusing down here.

If I want to take the test directly what do I have to do just contact the same people who teach the courses?

I would prefer to take the course down here to so I could become fully familiar with the laws here. Everyone I have been trying has been booked so far :(
