Whats normal for verifying a sellers name / address... is it typical to get a picture of a PAL and DL, or whats to stop a seller from making up a fake address? Just wondering how a normal transaction goes down from a buyers perspective.
Have you read the stickies heading the EE?
It can be a good idea to ask for a photo of the item with a CGN screenshot in the background.
A seller may be reluctant to send a scan of a PAL or other ID because of the risk of identity theft or misuse.
Sending an EMT to a stranger's email address without having identified the seller can be a really bad idea.

Exactly what I'm wondering about. I'd have a hard time sending out money without verifying seller's ID, but on the other hand, I'd be reluctant to send out a scan of any ID... so I'm wondering what most members do so that they are comfortable sending money?
I have used a picture of my pal with my thumb over the photo, nobody has had issue with that yet. Also, look at their seller rating and post count, not a guarantee but certainly another tool in the box.
If the other party has a good feedback score spanning several years I'm usually satisfied. Sometimes if I have an uneasy feeling about the deal I will ask for a photo of the item next to a utility bill to prove the other persons name and address.
