i hear them called vests all the time by police and military anyways thats enough....

there not called "bullet-proof vests" obviously you have very little knowledge on them if you call them "bullet proof vests"

they are designed to stop low powered handgun rounds

I was just using the terminology of the original poster. I am fully aware of what those kinds of body armour can do. And a level 2A vest is designed to stop any handgun round, low or high powered.

The thing about kevlar armour is that whether or not it can stop a bullet is dependent on the frontal area, shape, velocity and weight of the bullet. We were able to put some depressingly conventional 9mm bullets through a 2A vest because they were a bit pointy and had some velocity behind them.

Hello all, Is it legal to have Copper core hollow point ammo?

An alternative, if all you want is hollowpoints, would be to buy the bullets and reload a few. Also, I'm no expert but from what I've read, the expansion of slow moving pistol rounds isn't 100% sure, despite mfgr's claims. Thats why we lovers of the 45ACP love it, it doesn't need to expand. Its wonderful just the way god made it .
