Hey, I recently was given a reproduction Kentucky flint lock musket. It was made in the 70’s and has been fired many times safely back then, but not so much recently (like not in the last 20 years). It appears to be in good condition, but I would like to make sure it is safe to fire before I take it to a range. Any suggestions as to things I can do at home? If this is something that should be inspected at a guns smith, anyone know a reliable person in the Vancouver BC area who could do this work? Also the ram rod has been snapped, anyone know where you can buy new ramrods?
