questions about pal

i mailed my pal form on may 14th from nfld nothing showing yet online, so im pretty new to the whole thing.maybe this is a stupid question.can my wife, who doesnt have pal purchase a rifle as a present for me. would she have to bring my pal card with her? or its just not possible? i know she cant buy a rifle for herself because she doesnt have pal.
 
Your wife can buy a rifle for you but you have to be there with your PAL. The licence has your name on it not hers. She would actually be in trouble if she were caught with a firearm without your direct supervision. As for how long its taking to get your licence... I don't know, maybe give them a call?
 
Thanks for the info. Where can I view a complete guide to the regulations surrounding the pal and Canada's firearms laws

thanks for the welcome. ive tried calling them but seems to me they dont wanna hear it. so i guess ill patiently wait as theres not too much i can do anyhow. for sure there is a lot of good information on this site. i read through some sticky's, still have alot of reading to do yet though.
