Questions for guys have MDT LSS Chassis

I was installing the MDT LSS chassis onto one of my Remington AAC-SD. The installation was easy, it was just a drop-in installation, that is what I will call it. I did the final check on it, the LSS chassis sits perfectly on the AAC-SD, except there is a lot of play on the mag in the mag slot!...so, did I screwed something up or is that how the mag will sit in the mag slot?.

I have a Rem700 AAC-SD .308 in my LSS, and with the AI 5 shot mags I got from MDT there is perhaps a little under 1/16" side to side movement at the bottom of the mag. No front to back movement.

So I guess it depends on what you consider a lot of play.

What brand magazines are you using?

I found there is a lot of play with .308 AI steel mag but the .223 polymer AI mag had a much better fit. I'm sure it's MDT they probably had to leave more clearance because every AI mag isn't identical. However, I have the MDT Tac 21 and the upper receiver piece didn't line up very well causing the counter sunk allan head bolts to not sit flush. Luckily I'm a machinist and made her work, my suggestion use red lock tight on all the bolts!
