QUESTIONS, LOOKING TO RESTORE G 43 WALTHER AC rifle

update fitting buttplate needs a little sanding, need to drill small hole for front band spring, good news cleaning rod hole is a ok, rod fitted snugly,

have 8mm reloading gear on the way ............AND a g43 shooter kit from apheltor in the USA.

so far my boy scout level skills are still acceptable !
 
update rifle shoots well, toss brass 10 to 15 feet to right.
only thing sometimes mag doesnt lock open on last round when empty. ( that magazine isa modern copy , feeds a-ok but sometimes doesnt lock open when empty. )

am now working on making my 5 round cutt down magazine look like a proper mag. ( fake bottom made anattached )

scope and mount ordered ( eyes are getting tired of open sites due to age )
 
I don't think it's the mag.The hold open catch is probably worn or was ill fitting to begin with. I tried the rifle with 3 different original magazines. Nothing changed.
