Questions on getting an AR and which AR to get as my first firearm

Most accessories are going to be 1913 Picatiny. You can get some straight MLOK or keymod but that's not necessary. All you need is 1913 rail segments for MLOK or Keymod. Think of it as adapters. Quadrails are usually heavy, so instead you get a keymod or MLOK handgard, with only the needed length rail segments for your accessories.

Since both these rifles come with carbine gas systems, anything 7" and above will fit if you change the sight block for a low profile. If not, you will either have to get a precut model for the A2 sight or get one cut by a machine shop that know what they are doing. Read gunsmith.

ahh alright that makes sense, thats all my questions pretty much. Going to try and get the store to hold the expanse for me (I haven't seen this rifle for this price anywhere else) while i wait for my RPAL. Thank you so much for helping me!

No problem. I'm sure you will love it. Once you run a couple hundred rounds through it you'll get a better handle on what works for you and what doesn't. Then it's Lego time. Buy part 1 by 1 exactly what you want and build it yourself.

Then it's Lego time again because you want something different again.

Then it's Lego time again because that thing you change for something different, makes something else need to be different...

You get it right? You are screwed now :p
