Questions on Lake City brass?

I've never heard of 7.62x51 dies (militaries don't tend to reload ;)). Mostly you'd just use 308 win dies. Primer punches out, then you need to ream the pocket before a new one will fit. I use an RCBS chamfer/deburr tool, mounted on a hand drill. Boring and mindless, but you can watch TV while you do it.
 
Lake City brass is of very high quality. If your brass comes from the fired M118 Match cartridge , if I remember correctly for that specific round the primer is not crimped in. For standard LC military brass it is though.
 
A 308 Win die set will do the trick. As mentionned, you will need to remove the crimped primer pocket before reloading. If you have 1000 to do, I strongly suggest the Dillon Super Swager. Your hands will thank you later lol.

x2 The Super Swager is the best. Also produces a uniform primer pocket. When using LC brass, sort out the cases by weight, for more accurate loads.

Long time no talk!

I use these to load off of 1x fired IVI brass - just as tough as LC - easier to find up here:

Just close up the spaces between the www!

As for decapping - use a Lee De-primer die - tough as nails!

The primer pocket crimp is dealt with by the Dillon Super Swager - like butter with removing the crimp.

How much brass are you looking for - I have a bit I could spare to get you started - and it'll come nice and sparkling - I use stainless steel tumbling media! As well as being match prepped - it'll be the nicest looking IVI brass that you'll ever have seen!
