Questions on Winchester 1906 - need quick replies

A buddy of mine just got a Winchester model 1906.
He doesn't want it. It is in pretty poor/rough shape. Might still be a shooter.
My questions are:
1 - Approx. value? and
2- Collectability (in this shape)
He is looking for an offer... I don't want to rape the guy, but I'm also not a collector (I shoot everything I own).

Well its actually more collectable in original condition than if you have it refinnished, put a light down the bore and check that out and if it appears decent offer the guy $200.00 for it. FS
