I am just wondering is printer print photo acceptable.
I mean I have taken a photo of myself using my cellphone, and planned on printing it on my printer.
Is it acceptable for pal application?

It will likely work as long as it meets all their requirements. I would suggest getting it printed on photo paper though, they likely won't take it just run off your home inkjet on copy paper. Make sure it is well lighted and meets all the requirements shown on the application and you should be fine. The worst they can do is send it back and ask for a better photo.

I wouldn't use it unless your cell camera is a pretty decent quality though. Better than 2MP would be my suggestion so the resolution is decent.

I did it all by myself with a camera and a tripod. No worries, I printed it on normal 8 1/2 by 11 paper, no glossy fancy stuff.....

And here I am, with a shiny PAL/RPAL card, with my name and picture on it. :D

Just do it yourself, up against a white or gray wall. Make sure you crop the picture to proper dimensions and you should be fine. Save yourself the time and money, don't bother with professionals doing it.

Cheers,
Sand

My son and I took our own pics with digital camera against a white background, no shadows, computer and photo paper. Made sure the head was at least 30mm high, shoulders showing, some border work with computer (did not change appearance of face) and print out. Cut out one pic and sent it in, all ok, licence recd. Our Walmart charges $20 + for 2 passport pics. I purchased a package of 50 sheets of photo paper for $12 at Walmart, can make ######### licence pictures in the future.

i hope so because mine is on the worst paper ever. its a decent picture but the paper is really thick and grainy sucked up that ink like a thirsty pigmey goat.

one guy said it was fine so im possitive it'l work

At the course I took they took everyone picture with a digital camera and printed themout while we watch one of the saftey movies. It worked fine for me. Photo paper is a must though. And like someone already said I'm not sure if I would use a cell phone camera. Unless its the new Iphone maybe, the cameras seem to be the only decent thing on em since using it as a phone its useless.
