Quick Anneal

I seen posted today on another forum $990USD delivered to the mid west USA.

I think the timing is set visually.

Yeah, I got most of my pilots from New Zealand, they were less expensive then Canadian price, no back orders, and quicker delivery.

I like the idea of no pilots though :)
 
Thanks Sask378 for the heads up on this new (to me) induction annealer.

I checked out the company's website, and all the YouTube videos I could find. Very interesting! And yes, now I want one.

I currently flame anneal brass, but cannot fit an induction annealer into my budget yet, so maybe next year for me. The USD to CAD conversion is currently brutal, and then we have to add HST. Meanwhile I will watch for reports on performance, and market forces.

One thing that concerns me is the "short" (IMO) warranty period. The Quick Anneal website states only 2 years. This is a big purchase in CAD, and I was expecting something more like a 5 year warranty. The AMP Mark 2 lists only 3 years, also disappointing. If these machines are so good, why the short warranty period?

I realize that the manufactures have no control over rate and volume of use and abuse. Some customers might use it for commercial scale annealing and wear it out sooner.

Suggestion to Quick Anneal and AMP if you are reading this: Maybe consider offering 2 different models: a personal use model, and commercial grade heavy duty model, with appropriate warranties. Or maybe also offer a refurbishment plan at a reasonable price if parts need replacing (maybe they have a refurb plan already in the warranty? If so, great).

The Quick Anneal videos showed that it counts each anneal and keeps this running total. Maybe for an improved warranty, the anneal count could be factored into the warranty spec's, e.g. X number of anneals, or 5 years, etc. (Sort of like how auto manufactures state mileage or time, whichever happens first, etc.).

Anyways, looks like an awesome product, and I look forward to the reviews over the next year or two.

The Quick Anneal has been around since 2018 I do believe. Friend of mine was scouring the internet some time ago and came across it. Kinda forgot about it.........

I am currently running an Annealeez 1st version and am ready to go induction.

Found the very recent Quick Anneal thread on Snipers Hide and thought I better share it here. To me it appears Quick Anneal is ready to go for more market?
 
Made in South Africa? Cool. But wouldn’t that be subject to duty charges? Also taxes. And before all of that, exchange rate.

To B.C., me thinks around $1700 Canadian delivered (approximately).

Quick Anneal quoted $990USD. I think it would be a CDN USD exchange rate on the credit card? Today that would be around $1375.70CDN.

$68.79 GST

I have no idea what the duty or "handling fee" would be.
