Looking at a Majestic with the dovetail built in bases, rings are not easy to find and the ones around are expensive and not that great quality (old PH aluminum) compared to what we can buy today.
Some CZ rings are suppose to fit, but I'm not sure which ones.
Any other ideas or suggestions?
Looks like this:

I have two Baikal single shot rifles that came with crappy integral dovetail bases similar to that, and I mounted a weaver rail over them.

So I'd have to grind down the long clamp, and add a grub screw to the bottom to line up with the hole in the rear base.. sounds doable at least.
Any CZ rings that are not $100? Lol

They might be tricky to mount a BSA recoil lug to since they are a split ring.

What about BRNO 451 rings? They already have the recoil screw in them too. For 16mm dovetails though, not sure if 3mm range is too much.
Maybe I should just say f-it.... not worth the hassle for one of these relics lol. Sure is smooth cycling though.
***Got a better look at it today, took a pass. It was d&t for some bases but nothing standard, butt pad was chewed up, barrel free floated, trigger horrendous, not worth it.
I have enough half finished headaches on the go as is lol.
Thank you for all the replies.

Millett makes a CZ style ring. They run ~ 55$

I looked for those too.... angle lock with the grub screw, seem to be discontinued? Couldn't find them anywhere...
Anyway, the more I thought about it, the more I don't think I want to get into an older BSA, next to no parts available or stocks being made, if I ever grab one it will be a CF2...lots of those around thanks to Herters.
For now I'll stick with HVA's and Parker Hales. I've pretty much got all the tricks and tips, tweeks and tunes down for those.
And a box of spare parts, barrel's, bolts, etc. to keep them running forever....

I've altered the Warne rings for BSA's and it worked out OK. One may install a stud or simply use a small ball bearing which is held captive between the ring and receiver. In truth, the stud is not a great system any way and one is best served by milling a slot across the bridge and using a piece of 1/8 key stock.
