Is there such a thing? I have a larue mount that holds it's zero on my ar when removed and remounted, but my ar doesn't shoot well enough to know how precise the mount is.

I want to run two optics on my tikka varmint - a 4-14 for hunting and then a higher power scope for targets.

Has anyone run a larue or other quick detach mount on their precision rig?

Cheers

Are you srsly going to do much shooting with the scope dialled-down to 4X ? Because if you can live with 4.5x, I'd be thinking about a Bushnell 6500 in 4.5x-30x, unless you needed more mag then 30-power.

The best I have used is the Leupold QR rings. They are very repeatable.

X1 QRWs repeat for me within .5 moa. I always check after dismounting and remounting to determine any zero change. I am always pleasantly surprised.
I shoot in matches where one stage of 30 shots is with irons and the 2nd stage is any sight(allowing optics).
Even my irons return within the same variance.

I like the Warne QD rings. When used on a quality Picatinny rail the're hard to beat from a price/quality standpoint. For the Rolls Royce model, I've got a Near Alphamount, that's even better, albeit more costly.
