quick newb question

Hello guys,
a buddy of mine bought a nice reloader and he's all setup to reload .45. I had a small question, about how many rounds can you load with 1 lb of powder? Average? Just so we can prep and buy some more if needed.

7000 grains in a lb, say your using 4 grains thats just around 1.75k rounds...

There are 7000grains of powder in a pound, so if an average reloaded round used 7.0gr. of powder you will get 1000 rounds per pound. At a rate of 6gr. per round you'd get 1166 rounds and if you used 5gr. per round you'd get 1400 loaded rounds. Hope this helps.
