Quick question? Can someone still use the M1 Garand

The M1 Carbine became restricted back in 1978 because it was the weapon of choice for Montreal bank robbers. As far as can be known, this didn't cut down on bank robbery and the crooks have since moved on to better things. Liberals keep trying to legislate goodness, but it never works. It's like beating the sheep dogs with the idea of scaring off the wolves.
the m1 carbine was restricted by bbl length only

They chose that barrel length in order to restrict the M1 carbine. Same with the 105mm barrel length for pistols (Luger) in order to remove popular/ common firearms from the general population.

Thank you for confirming that the 30M1 is prohibited. I dont understand why but especially when one compares it whith the much more powerfull Garant in 30-06 also a semiautomatic and legal. Seems to me the average Canadian does not understand that the Liberal Party is anything but Liberal and I better dont mention what I think of this Fracker Trudeau which created this mess in the first place.
Both both the rifle and carbine are ".30M1", but they can't use the same ammo. The carbine is prohibited, and the rifle is non-restricted.
