Quick Question regarding Clays

Hey guys.
I'm probably going to get into shooting clays at the range with my tactical shotgun, and when I get it- my Taurus Judge.

That being said- when you guys are finished shooting clays, do you pick up all the shattered pieces? I know the clay is biodegradable, but is it recommended?
My range says that targets must be picked and cleaned up, and I would assume that includes clays as well, and I'd like/ appreciate the thoughts of the CGNers here.

Generally not expected at a skeet/trap/sporting range to pick up pieces. Not sure about your club. If it isn't a primarily clays club, I'd probably not be impressed to show up at the club and have a crapload of broken clay/hulls/wads all over the place.

Some clays are 'Biodegradable'. Don't confuse environmentally safe with biodegradable as they are separate designations. Other clays are not designated bio or safe; it depends on the manufacturer.

Like already said, depends what type of club/range you are at. If it is a general set of rules for all disciplines, it probably refers to cleaning up of the paper targets and whatever else you've brought to shoot at. We have a rule like that also, but is for the rifle and revolver club only. the trap field which is at a separate location, as far as I know has never had the clay cleaned up.
