quick question related to the cz858

would think your scope would get pretty dinged up with that setup no? does look like the lens would be in no immediate danger maybe just some paint/finish chipping which is acceptable to you?

Got my set up from Hical. It's two separate items,a side rail to mount your optics mount/rail to plus the mount itself. I have a VZ58 in 556 though which is already drilled and tapped for the side rail. For a CZ858 you'd have to drill and tap yourself or have a gunsmith do the work. Check out the VZ58 optics sticky it'll give you some ideas as well. Nothing wrong with the rear sight mount and scout scope combo either.

Nate NEA don't make the railed stock adapter or the cantilever rail anymore. You will have to find them used. try the EE. I have the railed stock adapter and cantilever rail. Its a great set up. good luck finding some.

Go with the drill and tap side mount, you cant beat having a bunch of screws securing metal to metal.
