Quick questions regarding H&K USP and Beretta 92F

I am split on which of the 2 to get. Many articles say both of these are accurate and precise pistols. What are your opinions on these 2? Also, which of these are better for a shooter with small hands. Being an asian, i am cursed with having smaller hands.

Ive played around with a replica airsoft version of the USP and it felt great in my hands.. Since then, ive gotten my license and have been looking to get some real steel.

Im currently looking to get myself a brand new 92F because it looks great and is cheaper than the USP. The cheapest one i found is from shooting edge for $750 + 2 10round mags which i think is a hella good deal in my opinon. However, they are sold out at the moment. Any other sites selling it cheap?

A link to a cheap USP would be great too!
 
as a personal choice, I'd go for Ber92 and save some money for ammo....but on the other hand H&K is a very nice/fine gun...
now depend what you want to use this pistol for, comp or plinking ?
finally what feel better in your hand, go and buy it....
 
its just for casual shooting at an indoor range which so happens to be at the shooting edge. After my spring university semester ends, im going to drive down and look at their stock. Meanwhile, im just going to see what the general consensus is online. I was also thinking about dishing out a few more dollars to get the newer 90 two with the interchangable grips because its suppose to have a "slim" version. Also, its suppose to be a better pistol as a whole. However, if im dishing out that kind of cash, why not just grab the USP.
 
If you have smaller Asian hands, both the USP and the 92FS have a very large grip which may not give you the best alignment for trigger control.

If you don't mind saving a bit more, consider an HK P2000 or HK P30. Both have adjustable grips so that you can customize the gun to fit you. Or the S&W M&P which is also inexpensive and has varying backstraps.

I find the USP too big for me but I use an HKP2000 with the small backstrap. If you end up buying a gun with a grip that doesn't fit you well, you'll likely buy another gun later. Better to save up and buy one with a grip you can fit to your hand.
 
I have average size hands and own a 92FS it fits my hand fine (some fit me better, a lot fit me worse). On the other hand USB to be the most uncomfortable gun I've ever held. At least with a Beretta you have an option of changing grips...You don't see a lot of people talking about they anymore, haven't seen one on a range in a while either.

My vote goes to Beretta. they are great quality guns and the price has never been lower.
 
I concur on looking at a P2000 or P30 over either the USP or Beretta 92FS, especially if you have small hands. Both the USP and the 92 have a fairly large, chunky grip.
 
I have small hands, 6.5-7 glove size. For years I stuck with Browning High Powers and CZ-75's because they fit my hand so well until 3 years ago when my wife bought me a USP.

I love the ergonomics of the USP the safety/decocker falls right under my thumb and I can manipulate the mag release with my index finger. The DA pull has improved with use and feels like my S&W 686. I like the P30 but if you get a chance to try the USP and like it they tend to sell for less, plus you can get the pimptastic stainless versions:D.
 
I own both... and I love them both!!

The USP was my first gun, and it's crazy accurate. I've put about 2,000 rounds through and haven't had any jam problems. I just recently purchased the 92FS, it's accurate as well and in itself is comfortable and reliable.

They're both very different. Yet they both have many strengths.
 
I have a Beretta and I love it.. However, I strongly advise you against picking two kinds out of a magazine.. or after some internet research and picking one. There are LOTS of great guns out there. Go to a range that rents pistolas and try all that you can and work from that basis. You will get the idea of how much triggers can vary in respect to lenghth/strenght of pull..how much difference there can be in weight and size even in pistols of the same caliber.. and just differences in how they feel. And if you go to a well equipped shooting facility, you can get an idea of a lot of different guns in one afternoon!

I have average (maybe a touch on the small side) hands and I find my USP9 to be huge, too huge. It's a challenge to hold it correctly and still reach the double action trigger which is very heavy.

I would advise you to go to an indoor range not connected to a store and check with a few shooters who usually let new people try a number of different guns to see what suits them. I think you are near Calgary and you could try the Okotoks club which is very friendly and not expensive to join. There are a wide number of good 45,s out there but until you shoot them it,s impossible to choose one over the other. All the best with your search and try, dont rush---Ron.

Do you know if they have rentals there? I am ready to buy yet I am having a hell of a time finding a CZ Shadow to try, let alone anything even made by CZ.
