Quick Supernova question.

I was wondering about the build quality/materials on the supernova. Are there any aluminum parts? Are there any cast or MIM parts?

I was asking because the Benelli website doesn't list such things, and if I am going to spend this much on a pump gun, I want it to be all high quality forged and machined steel.

the supernova is an overbuilt solid piece of kit i love my tactical model, the reciever is polymer with rails molded into it, the action bars steel with a very durable finish, the only wear marks i have on it are on the magazine tube (which are very small) and i have over 800 rds fired thru it.

met a guy at the range last week who had the new tomahawk and it weighed about half as much as my Benelli.

I'd be shocked if there weren't numerous cast parts on the Super Nova. That being said, I don't think you'll find a more durable shotgun for the money.

I'm just repeat what others have already stated. The SuperNova is tough and simple, and well worth the $650 - $700. The tolerances and fit-and-finish are what you'd expect for that kind of money. Head down to your local range and ask an Benelli owner :) They'll be happy to show you.

The receiver is polymer-over-steel skeleton.
