Has anyone figured out how to get QuickLoad to give results for Alliant Power Pro 4000-MR (not in the QL drop-down menu)? One way that might work would be to get a good Ba value for this powder and just enter that, although I could be all wrong about this.

And another harder question: Is there any way to get QL to work with Hodgdon Superperformance?

If it was me, I would use Alliant's data for 4000 to reload some of yours with 4000. Now chronograph them. Now compare in QL to work backwards based on your velocity & mass of powder you used. When you get a match(es), you've got your bracketing.

I do this for a few cartridges using Nobel Magnum 6, in a few rook rifle cartridges, because nothing else currently available in Canada comes close, whereas a few European powders do.

Sorry if I'm not explaining it very well.

That's a good suggestion, James. Unfortunately, Alliant doesn't give any loads for Power Pro 4000-MR in the cartridge I'm most interested in at the moment, the 6.5x55. I could do this with my .270 Win., though, as Alliant does give some loads with this powder for the .270.

In that case I'd just send them a note - I've done that before several times and they often have an idea of where to start with a cartridge even though they don't publish the data for it. At least Vihtavuori did.
