Just wondering if someone can check this load in quickload.

45.5 gr Varget
165gr sierra tipped gameking
Lapua Brass
2.80" COAL

I am seeing some ejector marks in the brass, I will try reducing the load a bit but this is shooting 0.5" or better groups with 2800 fps average velocity and SD's in the 5 range.

44.8grs Varget 165gr Sierra SPBT is what I used for years when using 165s ... COAL: 2.800

I moved on awhile ago to 155gr Sceners for target shooting: 48.7grs CFE223, sometimes 46.6grs TAC (depending on what powder I have at the time).

Hunting: 175gr Terminal Ascent, 44.0grs RL 15.5 (max load C).

Work up - all under .5 in mine ... otherwise why reload?

Yes I used the Sierra data when I worked up my original loads and went to 45.5 instead of 45.4 like the sierra data states. I'll knock it back and work up slowly, likely staying under the 45gr mark. I do have a good load at 45 grains varget with the original 165 gameking bullet as well.

Part of it too could be the reduced case capacity of the Lapua brass as well. Looks like nosler has 1 full grain more water capacity than lapua.
