I have developed a few R15 223 loads - which I think I will keep using pending results from the next range trip. Being the geek I am, I was wondering if I could trouble someone to run the load thru quick load with the two bullets I am using so I can see what it predicts -

Load is R15,
69gr SMK and 69gr Lapua Scenar, COL 2.28
ww brass, federal match primer
24" barrel

My range findings are 24 and 25.4 gr seem to be a node. No pressure signs with 25.4, but am sure I am getting close to max.

Much appreciated!

I just built a new computer and I didn't re-install Quickload, and I gave my Quickload disk to a friend.

Quickload is nothing more than a computer software guesstimate, and to get accurate readings from it you need a chronograph and change the burn rate in Quickload until the two velocities match and a lot of other fiddling around with it.

Go to the range and shoot your rifle under actual "real" conditions and get real results. Quickload is over priced and just looking at different reloading manuals tells you how much the firearm and the components used can vary your results.

Below are two Quickload charts using the same exact load of powder, the only difference is case capacity. There are so many things that effect the loaded round plus the firearm it is shot in it makes Quickload a worthless over priced toy.
