With a copy of the picture, I sent an email to them and asked.

It's obviously a life mount of an exceptional desert sheep ram, the tear ducts are a little exaggerated but none the less relatively accurate.

You are likely right and they did a horrible job of cutting out the background in Photoshop but it still looks like the fish Bart caught near the nuclear plant on the Simpsons....lol

Its real. And those are scent glands. Lee Lakosky arrowed a ram like that and has pictures of it in the sept issue of petersons hunting
