Just bought this off of another member. Its my first, and likely only K43.
Im glad it turned out alright, as CP destoryed the package, the muzzle was sticking out, sight hood knocked off, but the friendly CP guy rammed the hood back inside the parcel.....

L block qve45 K43 Made shortly after they went to qve. duv44 j block, qve45 k block, qve45 l block, qve45 a block.

Anyways most parts match original german numbering. Firing pin carrier, and locking lugs numbered to match.
Original wood.

And an updated family pic, cause its fun.

Nice to see it finally arrived! Good score! :)

Too bad about the packaging and handling though..... :(

PS: Your family portrait needs more P.08! ;)

Any contents in the butt-trap? Ribbed or flat door?

Enjoy!

*EDIT* Figured I might add my Vopo... Hope its ok, these OstDeutschen Volksgenossen get lonely sometimes... :( Pining for the DDR and all...

The trapdoor is smooth, what does that indicate?
Thanks guys. Shoots awesome! I love it.

Desert- nice rifle, I wish mine hads the durafol handguard.

would love to have one of those rifles ,do not know much about them. What would one look for as to being an original war time example,i saw on on the EE with a repro stock and the rear sight ground off is that something worth buying. What would be a reasonable price for a good example

An all original matching german piece would be $3500plus. All day long.
G43 originally used electro pencilled serials, so they can be tough. You'd have to research the piece.

I also wouldn't shoot an all original.

That really contributed to my decision to buy a vopo. But it had to have german wood.

That one on the EE is going to be really difficult to fix. It needs to be welded, and build up. And the fake stock is ugly. Lol and originals don't exist.

A good vopo will run you between $2000 and $3000.

Its funny, the east germans were just as anal about numbering as the prewar germans. Lol.
Also of interest. In 1945 most K98s only had a few waffenamts, barely any really. While everything is marked on this thing. Even the early stock numbering and marking convention. Truly a weapons program in its infancy.

That is really interesting when you think about it. I wonder why they chose to number the stocks and waffenamt everything? Is this standard procedure with all the K43 makers?

My former walther k43 AC45 d block (very late war) did not have waffenamts on everything. Had it on the reciever, bolt guide/cover and mag. Everything else was matching #, but no WAAs. You can tell from the finish they were making these fast.

Yes, mostly, some really late stuff gets bad.
All the small parts that would not be marked on a k98 from 44 on are marked on this.
The stock is numbered. Waffenamt on heel of butt, on at wrist, 2 on the side. Early style for sure.

Edit: late late is different, but for the most part they are marked. Ac45 d block is LATE! Haha
