OK, since there are several of you who seem to have guns that don't run properly, and mine runs like a top, I have a suggestion.

If you gun isn't working, ship it to me and I'll test it and compare it to my own. If needed, I'll swap in my own bolt to find out if that will fix the problem.

If interested, take off your stock and shroud before shipping, as I won't need them. Include a written description of the problem, including the type of ammo and type of mag used.

Other than temporarily swapping out parts from my own gun, I won't make any modifications to your gun, just observations. If you've made any modifications, I'll need to know before you ship.

Bolt Issue???

According to Rhineland and TSE, the ejector and jamming problem is a bad bolt. Rhineland has made some new ones, mine is on it's way. According to Rhineland they work like a charm (I'll remain a skeptic until I've fired half a dozen 25 round clips without a jam).

Contact TSE (if you haven't already) and get on the list. Phoning J.R. direct seems to get the best results.

Also, rec'd 3-4 emails from Thomas @ Rhineland in past few days. He says they're making a "batch" of parts for everyone up here in the Great White North...bolts, ejectors, mag well catches, etc. He didn't say exactly when they would be shipped.

I'll post in the next week or so (should have the new bolt next week, test next weekend) and let the rest of you know if this works.

Waynewjw,
Just curious,How do you know that the bolts are on the way, have you recieved info from TSE or RA with any sort of a time frame? I have been waiting for mine for about 3 months now and I have lost faith in anything Thomas has to say.. I did hear from JR that the bolt were on the way, but he is being cautious aswell with info from RA regarding the new bolts being shipped.

New improved R22

I just saw this on the Rhineland site: http://www.rhinelandarms.com/

"New for spring 2006, R22 with bolt hold open, precision Rhineland bolt and G3 stocks"

It looks like we (early buyers) should have waited for the 3rd generation R22 after all ...:(

lt. dan

Yes, I've heard from both Thomas and J.R. via email and telephone. I, probably with you and numerous others, are extremely frustrated that I can't take my expensive paperweight out to the range and test drive it.

This is the scoop. Jr. phoned Thomas on Wed. and told him to send bolts. Thomas emailed me on Friday and confirmed said bolts are on their way. Again, I'm skeptical, because I've also waited 4 months with the old "should be ready in 2 weeks" story.

So, as I've said, I'll post back next week if and when I have a bolt, and have test fired the sucker to see if I can finally "let the good times roll".

Don't know about you, but I was on to both TSE and Rhineland within days of discovering the problem. And I've followed up with a number of phone calls. I don't know how many bolts are coming on this 1st shipment, but Thomas said that they will be making a large shipment of stuff...bolts, ejectors, mag well protector's, etc.....probably 2 weeks away?

OK, maybe I was too vague. I was not opening another thread to bash Rhineland. I was offering to trouble shoot your problem child with my own working model.

Seeing as I've offered, and not one single person has taken up the challenge, I'm beginning to conclude some would rather ##### and complain than shoot.
