I came across this old scope in a deal for some bits and pieces, and have been unable to quite figure out, what it is. Hoping you folks could give me a hand with identifying it.

The best I've been able to figure out, is it was made by R.E.L. Optics, a Canadian company that existed in the 40's, who made a lot of stuff for the war, like binoculars and the like.

Written on the eyepiece end is the following text:

TEL. SIGHTING CNO MK.
CGB 91 GA
REL / CANADA
1944 I-C

You do not have a sniper rifle scope. That would be CNo.32 or CNo.67. I don't recall the number, but there is a brother model to the rifle scope, 42 maybe, that is good for donor parts. What I think you have is an antitank gun sight, maybe for a 6 pounder. REL (Research Entreprises Limited in Lake-something, Ontario) had a very wide range of production from rifle scopes to tank and artillery optics to binoculars and anti aircraft rangefinders. They missed a lot of deliveries because they believed in not shipping failed or likely to fail production.

This was in fact the ultra rare uber desirable R.E.L. C67 scope for the C67 Long Branch sniper rifle. (main one used by us during the Korean War.
