R. Wakefield SxS Blackpowder

Hi,

Does anybody know anything about this gun? It has 29.5 " damascus barrels and I'd be guessing at the gauge similar to a 12 gauge. It's marked R. Wakefield on the sideplate.

It has a badly broken stock right through that somebody put glue into in the past so a decent new repair isn't possible. Cracked bad enough that the bottom tang also cracked behind the trigger gaurd. Locks and triggers are in nice condition .

Know it's next to impossible to get another stock but in case somebody has a similar gun with a blown barrel they want to part with I would be interested.

Any info on the maker or gun would be appreciated.

The maker appears to be a small Birmingham maker assuming there are english proofs on the bottom of the barrels. Alternately if there is an ELG in an oval under the barrel it was made in Belgium and Wakefield is the retailer. I think finding a replacement stock that actually fits is just about zero. The stock you have looks repairable if you wanted to go that route.
