R3 pad question

I have an 870 Express. I am wondering of the pad on it is the R3, and if not, how much 'softer' is the R3? Would it be worth the money?

The R3 is a pad made by Simms for Remington to use with their synthetic stocks.It's not for wood stocks.However Simms does make Limbsaver pads for various wood stocks and they also make an oversize grindable pad.And yes,they are worth having.
