Rabbit Hunting!!!

DO NOT GET ME STARTED

UVic has had a continuing problem with the rabbit population. Originally, owners of the "no longer cute little bunnies" released them onto University grounds as a way to escape the waning urge to own a rabbit. With absolutely minimal predation and ample "I wanna feed the cute bunny" students, the population has become overwhelming.

As I walk through the campus, I see rabbits stricken with disease. Many have a lack of fur, or severe eye infections. Please note that the aforementioned students only feed the cuter baby bunnies. The massive population has turned the grass into sparse golf greens.

At one point, the university tried to nuder and spay them individual ........what were they thinking........ At 200 bucks a pop, and a dozen rabbits later, it was clearly not the correct method.

I've heard that UVic at some point hired birds of prey owners to dent the population. I feel sorry for those hawks, how many can they take down in one sitting?

Finally, UVic has accepted that culling is the only proper way to control the population. I've always said.....hiring a few Blackwater mercenaries would get the job done at a reasonable price withing a day.

So, if you ever get yourself a ticket to Victoria, PLEASE, be my guest and prance around trigger happy!

Cheers,
Sand
