Have t seen a rabbit in my area this winter. Between the snow Owls and coyotes there's none left!

The rabbit numbers do seem to be in a low cycle in NE Alberta in direct comparison to the last two-three years. Friends near Slave Lake say the local hare population seems low too.

In one heavily wooded quarter section our yearly take was about 37 a year ago. This year to date much lower then that. The first year was really productive, almost 70 IIRC.
