Rabbits don't live in the wild anymore.

I live in a town of maby 200 people. If I step out side ill trip over a dozen rabbits on the way to the truck. 5km down the road where it's safe to discharge firearms..... I have not dropped a rabbit in a long time lol.

There adapting well lol.
 
I went out this morning for rabbits over beagles with friends +1 youth hunter. 7 rabbits in 4hrs out of 2 county bush lots. I can't think of a better way to spend a winter morning outside. Bunny stew tomorrow.
 
Tonnes of bunny sign at both of my usual hunting locations...one is located 5 minutes from town, the other about 2 hours north. Find some nice thick cover and you will find their trails.

in the bush, I have seen some tracks in the snow but no "track makers"
whereas in the city, there's legions of them!

Here I've only ever seen rabbits in town. Coyote populations rising, pushing the foxes into town too. Rabbits and grouse are slowly becoming more scarce. Great reason for coyote hunting if we could keep up with them!
 
This is the first year that I can remember that in deer season, I never saw one single rabbit (snowshoe hare). I got out alot, and while I saw quite a few partridge, not a single bunny. The wife makes meat pies every year for Christmas and after 3 or 4 bunny hunts I had none for her meat pie. I remember before the coyotes came, ( 30 yrs ago) you could easily bag a dozen on a single hunt. I don't know if they are solely to blame though cause there are thousand of acres of clear cut around here now, and some spots you hardly see a track of anything.

i like windsor they are too stupid to realise they dont have hunting bylaws for in the city but discharge laws a plenty (you can still discharge on farm land thats in city limits but you have to get permission from the city) bows and slingshot are good to go

That is because in Ontario under the Hunting Heritage Act there cannot be any bylaws to disallow hunting. Hunting is a Heritage Act in this province afforded those protections. They can only create and enforce no discharge bylaws
