Rabbits! Field dressing/butchering/cooking, etc

Hey Trevor how's things? Yes lots of hours we spent chasing those hares. Usually yourself with your trusty 10-22 and myself with a 20 gauge. Last year I picked up a Springfield M6 in 22/410. Got a Burris red dot first variant from David. Superb setup for that property we haunted so much.
Hey Jory, if you are looking for a great recipe YouTube handle of Alutacon. This fine gentleman from South Carolina has a recipe for roast savory rabbit to die for.
Cheers fellow wabbit hunters.....

this is how we did it back in Europe
another technique to de-gut is to strongly clamp on the chest with one hand, put the rabbit on your knee and press swiftly with the other hand on the belly. The guts will shoot out of the rabbit :)

Things is good!

Trying to wind up my hay, finish the sockeye season, and get generally ready for winters onset.

Pretty sure I posted the recipe I used into the recipes section of the hunting forum. It was good first time out, really good made in to pies with the leftovers. edit: look for a post titled Rabbit in a Slow Cooker.

Say hi to the folks that may still care!
