Radom VIS German holsters (photos) (UPDATED 20-06-2016)

Sadly can't really read the markings on mine. I was told "Nazi marked" again, sadly more likely "Marked by a Nazi"

Even more likely, some ding dong let their kids get a hold of it - judging by what looks like a happy face carved in it!!

Nice holster sean, too bad about the scratches. They are getting pretty tough to find, so keep it (and keep it well stored) if you can.

Here's another one:

These wartime holsters are all quite nice! Does anyone have any proper pre 1940 Polish holsters for the wz.35? How rare are they?

Here they all are.

Picture taken off the internet.

I haven't seen too many pictures of Germans wearing a pre-war holster, but there are examples. I assume that most were destroyed, some used by the resistance.
I've never seen one for sale in Canada, and they can be pricey in the US.

Squadron303. I have seen 1 original. Friend (also on this board) received it with a Walther p38. He didn't know what it was, but I knew immediately. Sold it on Ebay for big dollars. Got more for the holster than the pistol.

There were repro ones made as well. Very good quality. I owned one of those fro awhile.

The reproduction ones can still be purchased from a gentleman in Poland. They are VERY well done.

Anybody want to comment on this stock:

Where do I start? There were never any "authentic", pre-war shoulder stocks produced. And if the Poles did produce them, none survived and there is absolutely zero evidence of them ever being produced. The Germans certainly did not produce any.

Blueprint drawings do exist, but this particular stock looks nothing like the original design. The original design is a holster, which fits the gun in the stock, as well as two magazines. The butt end of the stock is hinged and closes on the gun and magazines. The stock pictures is just a solid piece of wood. Complete fake in every aspect. Even the fact that it is a copy from an original. No originals exist.

If you want the next best thing, visit h**p://tobys-rusznikarstwo.pl

He is a Polish gunsmith, who amongst many things, produces the shoulder-stock holster to original specifications. And it does not cost anywhere near $250.

Another holster. This one is well used, which I like, but it still holds its form very well. The leather is in good shape too, with no rot. The correct period stamps are all there in green. It also has a (soldier's?) name. This could have been written at any time, but it looks authentic to me. Here it is:
