Got out to the range today and took along my RB in .480 Ruger. Had 40 rounds of Hornady factory loads (325gr XTP) and was quite impressed with the smooth action and overall performance. Muzzle blast was pretty good, but with the porting, the recoil and muzzle rise was reduced considerably.

Yep, Raging Bull is is a sweet gun :) even with hot laods (.44mag) there's quite minimum muzzle flip... I always enjoyed the V shaped muzzle flash.

I have the 8 3/8 barrel .44, and I love it!:) I have shot 280 gr jacketed over 20 gr of N110, and it"s still fun! It is a beast of a gun, but easy to shoot. It"s the most accurate pistol I"ve ever had(wish my hi-power was that accurate!)
Some folks still look down on the Taurus, but I have"nt seen as good a trigger on any of the "big names" in revolvers.

Mine is the 6 1/2" barrel, and even with the shorter length, muzzle flip was almost non-existent. Very impressive.

BTW, nice to hear from a N.I gun owner. I was born in Larne. What part are you from?

My understanding is the big knock on them is the lack of service, has that changed or is the problem overstated?
