Rail for Tavor

That mount looks really nice and low. So Dlask could not make it fit without modifing the barrel?
Hold off on the IOR untill you actually look thru one if it uses that black non-lite up horseshoe.
If it was a simple dot it would be perfect.

Here is the Dlask mount. It mounts low so you can use the BUIS. Installation was a piece of cake. There are no modifications to be done. Easy as 1-2-3

The Dlask rail has the female threads machined into it's clamp, so changing hardware seemed like too much of a chore. The machine screw they provided was too wide for the slots on my barrel mount. I filed them wider (amazing how soft the metal was) and it fit perfectly.

Must be some quality control issues :) the guy above says he didnt have to do anything.

Lets see... a $200 part or a $3000 rifle .....

I think I'd send back the rail and ask for one that would fit.....

Not a chance on this green earth I would take a file to my TAR 21. DLask can fix their part...

I am using the 999 rail and it fit like a glove and I had not one hic-up installing it.

999, I can't find your rails in the EE. Also, do you have any photos of them? Does anyone else have any experience with 999's rail?

I too would like to suggest that the SpecterDR loss of zero rumor is either complete BS or a very early bug that has been worked out. I put one on an M14 and I get awsome groups. You pay for what you get, and they are expensive. I think that if a company that sells battle optics continued to produce optics which lost their zero, they would be out of buisness pretty quick. If I had to rotate a knob to change power I would steer clear from the IOR and get a Nightforce compact, then I would have the ability to use intermediate powers. That being said, I think the ideas behind the IOR are great - if it was significantly cheaper than a Nightforce I think they might have a real winner. Sorry, I know this thread is about rails not necessarily the optics...

Files don't scare me. In fact, any gun that I can't alter in some way never earns my trust.

Don't get me wrong, non-tool people, I don't recommend filing anything that you're not supremely confident about. hfp 75 is absolutely right about sending back a part that costs a small percentage of the Tavor. When you buy a piece of equipment that is by no means "cheap" you should expect it to work without problems. I never contacted Dlask about my rail because I didn't perceive any problem.

I chose to make my rail fit as is, because it seemed to me that my gun was the oddball - not the aftermarket part.

Am I sure? No.
Do I care? Not much.

In my case, all's well that ends well.

I am looking for a P-Rail attachment for my Tavor, I am sick of the Mepro. Also, I wish someone had a top notch looking adapter for a fore grip. There should be a complete assembly for the front - screw off the old one, and screw on a new one. It'd be classy.
