Is this stuff (Permatex Ultra Slick Multi-Purpose Synthetic Grease) any good? What would you recommend?

any grease sticky enough not to fly off will do fine...slide rails are a very undemanding application. I've used everything from wheel bearing grease to high end pure synthetics and have seen zero difference in function.

I use BreakFree CLP on my Colt Gold Cup. This is the only lube I have used since purchasing it new in 1991.

The gun is still as tight as the day I purchased it.

I do use grease; but only on the rear surfaces of the bolt where it contacts the receiver on my bolt action rifles.

They are not a CGN dealer..I will pm ...

I suppose I would try the Milcom on my P226 if a local gun store stocked it or if I could find it at a reasonable price in Canada. Is it a taboo to post your source here? Right now I am using Mobil 1 synthetic bearing grease and it seems to do the job, perhaps the TW25b would work better.

And a whole lot cheaper..I'm betting just as good
