Rail Pricing for Ruger SR-22 Rifle in Canada...Why so high?????

So I've been pricing up rails for an SR-22 rifle.

Why are the rails available in Canada so damn expensive?

Most places in Canada sell the little 3" top rail for $30, while the 7"-9" ones are like $70.
A combo set with the long rail from a "bird" place is $179.

Let alone crazy shipping fees within Canada.


In the USA a complete combo unit ranges from $35 - $50 for short - long top rail units.

What gives?????

Or am I missing something?

I bought mine from Dlask, not $50 but real nice aluminum rails(4) and had them in 2 days

Yes this is the gun industry in Canada. Everything is more here. That's said check out dlask they also make a full length top rail that is very nice

I also have the Dlask quad rail set for my SR22, from HiCal.ca, they may be $139.00 (Out of stock atm) but they're worth it, amazing quality parts.

I think they charge big bucks for rails because tacticool stuff is all the rage these days, and they know they can gouge people for it, because they'll pay for it.
