rail that mounts where open sights fit

I have recently come across a Marlin 81 and i was wondering if anyone makes a rail that would mount into the notch in the barrel where the rear open sight mounts.

I would like to install a long eye relief scope. Rimfire scout rifle sounds fun.

You might want to try one of the Weigand pickatinny mounts.
