Rain-X to reduce fogging?

I don't recommend this on a rifle scope but:
For hockey you can use the expensive defoggers on your visor, or use liquid dish soap. Let it dry and then buff it clear. It'll last one game max. Very inexpensive and worked decently.

Again I wouldn't use this on a rifle scope. I'm not sure what it would do to the coatings. It could ruin your scope.

Does anybody here use Rain-X on their scopes? How well does it work? Will it damage coated lens?

I don't believe Rain-X is going to help fogging on your scope. Furthermore, it may not be compatible with the coating on the lens.

Buy a Bushnell with RainGuard is the more effective way to go.

I did it once on a low end Bushnell 3x9x40. Used it for one season and it was OK.

I was somewhat worried about damaging the coatings as well. I wouldn't do it with an expensive scope though, just to be certain.
