Raised from the depths: German seaplane recovered from fjord 70 years after it sank in such good condition it could even fly again

- Heinkel He-115 sank after botched water landing in 1942
- Spotted by Norwegian mappers using sonar equipment in 2005
- Lifted from its sal####er grave by crane and will now be restored

There were thousands of other model series produced of other types of planes, and only a pinch of those restored around the world

It may be restored and should be but I don't think it will ever fly again. Seventy years in sea water probably wouldn't do the aluminum frame any good from a structural point of view.

if restored to flight status, the only on it that will be original is the dataplate. Beavers are the same way
