Got 2 lbs of the New RamShot GRAND powder 😆 any body burning 🔥 it up Yet and if so what are your results and in what Cartridge .🤷🏼‍♂️RJ

Ramshot Grand is a double-base spherical propellant that bring the latest propellant technology to the Ramshot family of powders. Temperature-stable… check. Precise metering… check. Accuracy… check.

With a density tuned for magnum cartridges, Ramshot Grand offer optimal load densities which equal low extreme spreads and standard deviations.

Ramshot Grand excels across a broad spectrum of cartridges from the 243 Winchester all the way up to the 338 Lapua Magnum. Top performers include 6.5, 7mm, and 300 PRC, as well as the 7mm Remington Magnum and the 300 Winchester Magnum.

Made in the USA.

And here I saw that show up at Rangeview and checked Hodgdon for .357 Magnum and .454 Casull and didn't see any loadings for it in either of those magnum cartridges and shrugged and moved on. Sounds like I should have considered magnum rifle calibres!

Just put some in my cart from Budget shooter. Been trying to get some for a few months and keep missing the availability count. It shows some cool promise because of it's temp. stability. It's potentially far superior to Magnum. Using it for my load developments in my 6.8 western over Hammer 160 grn HHT's I'm trying to get my SD close to 5. I'm currently at 8.7 SD shooting RS Magnum @ 3046.9 I'm right at the Goldielocks zone with that bullet weight. This cartridge is soo cool. I'm having fun developing this newer cartridge. Cheers

I tried to pick it up a couple weeks ago from Cabellas in Abbotsford but it was gone before I got there. So I grabbed a couple RS Magnum cans. It's got less dev. than Magpro but I can get way more speed from Magpro than what I mentioned above but very temp sensitive. The Magnum seems less temp sensitive. These longer monolithic bullets I'm loading eat into the case capacity so I'm hoping I can find case capacity, FPS and SD. The node can tune with bullet jump.

Probably just that being too close to the big city I've spent too much time in pistol ranges and not enough at really long outdoor ranges, so the word "magnum" to me is just those revolver cartridges. I do shoot rifle but in eg .303, .223, .308, 6.5 CM, none of which are on the list for this powder and haven't delved into the magnum rifle cartridge side at all. Always some facet of firearms we haven't personally spent quality time doing (yet)!

After a great deal of load development,I ended up using Ramshot Magnum in my 264WM, Big Game in my 338-06 and TAC in my 350RM. These were all Belgium made.

I don't know what the Olin's Florida plant is called now, But that is where Grande and Competition , a shotgun powder, are made. This supply chain is more robust. Competition is nowhere as nice as Canadian made Clays, but it works, is relatively cheap and available.

I started testing two bullets over RS Grand today in my 6.8western. Had a very narrow window at the range after the black powder gang were done. It gets dark too fast these days. The bullets are 160grn Hammer Hunter Tipped and 165grn Nosler ABLR's. I managed to complete the HHT ladder and was very impressed with the predictability of the velocities. Very uniform. It has good promise and no problems getting to my desired FPS and more without pressure signs. Didn't test accuracy, just kept smacking the steel at 300. Ran out of light with the ABLR's but was getting the same linear increase in velocities. Temp stability is going to make this a go to for powder of choice I'm pretty sure. Cheers

I think I've found a good load for my 6.8western on Saturday. I shot a five shot group at 118yrds including cold clean (bore snaked) bore.
First three are touching and vertically stacked measuring .6" the fourth shot continued the tear in the paper perfectly vertical to .88"
I pulled the fifth shot right, one inch beside the first. I have no training and poor eyesight so for me this is a first. I can often stack two but never done this well. I was excited on the fifth and lost focus on my hand/finger position causing a pulled shot. My real intention was to find a good charge with the new Grand powder. I excluded the cold bore from my data as that is expected to have a different fps.
160grn Hammer HHT's over 66.16grn. Ramshot Grand powder. 2.950"coal. annealed win cases with .265" exp. mandrel and Lee FCD at 3/16th turn.
3145.2 FPS average 3513.9FT-LB STD DEV 7.4 spread 20.3
Edit, Fps on first shot that I didn't include in the data was 3102.6 no change in point of impact.
