I know that seems almost sacreligiuos but I am thinking of getting a ramline for my mark V in order to hunt with it and not mark up the beautiful wood stock.
Also they a cheap and I'm on a bit of a budget. Have any of you used ramlines on the stronger calibers like 300 weatherby mag. What have you found ?

I'm just looking for something that works and won't split in half or shoot like total crap.

The felt recoil will be increased significantly due to the drop in weight. Plus you should bed it with an Acraglas kit. Ramline makes their stock for your rifle in black only according to their site.
Just so you know, Weatherby sells the MK V with a plastic stock chambered in .300 Weatherby Mag. So it's not completely sacreligious.
If you see a stock for a Howa, it's the same thing.

Putting a Ramline on a Weatherby is almost as bad as using Weaver rings on a Leupold.
Bell & Carlson Medalist are used on the Vanguard subMOA. I just ordered one for my .223 Vanguard.

If your out hunting with the Ramline on your Weatherby I don't think the Deer will notice. If it will get a safe queen out from the dark I'm all for it.

The Mark V stocks are definately a step up from the Ramlines. But, if you are going to beat it around in the bush, it really doesn't matter. After hunting season you can always change it back to the Walnut.

Have had a Ramline on my .338 win. mag. Ruger for many years...has held up to over 300 + rounds. The rifle is not bedded or anythinged..will shoot some handloads at under an inch /100yds..same as it did with the original wooden factory stock. If you get one try it for accuracy before you alter it..

It's like putting hot pants on Margaret Thatcher.....still ugly.:D

get a Bell & Carlson...they make the fiberglass ones for the ULW and Accumark...it's a better stock than the ramline, though I can't comment on the price point.
