ramped or non ramped?

Need to get a new barrel for my Springfield 1911-A1 the barrel cracked.

I am looking at a fusion barrel they have two .40 5" barrels, one is a drop in MATCH non ramped barrel, and a drop-in ramped barrel.

I want to shoot IPSC with this gun so I like the sound of the match barrel, but the original barrel was ramped. Will it still feed reliably with a non ramped barrel?

The frame has a slot cut in it to accept the ramped barrel. I can't see going back to non ramped barrel as an option.

Well that is simple solution, thanks for clearing it up.

Match/non match wont make much difference in the end.

IF you are replacing a barrel I would suggest you purchase oversized barrel and let a gunsmith fit it as opposed to "drop in" barrel.

+1 and check out Storm Lake, they sell oversize barrels and bushings with both ramp types.
