Ramshot Hunter

Hi folks. Question for the hivemind.

I just came into a few pounds of Ramshot Hunter at a (relatively) decent price. Hodgdon provides decent loading data for the three cartridges i will be loading it into: 243, 6.5x55 and 30-06.

Any for/against or personal experience suggestions?

Most excellent!

It's those precise pills that I have for those cals. 130 grain Sierra game pros and 165 grain Nosler BTs.

I had really good success with both hunter and 4350 and 130gr sierras and the 165 partitions and interlocks! Try RJs recipe for the 06.

I have to tweak my loads a bit but I found it to be not quite as good in my 06 as IMR 4350

It is great for the 30-06 and 180 grains. I use Federal 215 GM and 57-58.8 grains, depending on the bullet. Velocity in the 2800 fps with a 22 in barrel.

Suitable choice for anything you'd be burning 4350/4831 burn rate powders in.

30-06 180 grain Hunter is my most accurate powder with good velocity. Magnum primers.
