Did you use vegetable-tan leather for this type of thing?
I dabble with leather but just make small things like ammo pouches, knife sheaths, etc.
I have aspirations of trying to make something like this for my H & R Tamer one day.

Well-thought-out, well-designed, and beautifully executed.
Plenty of harness rivets for strength, reinforced at the mouth, richly colored, and wet-molded to the gun.
Even Josh Randall, the bounty hunter, would want one.
